You can use this page for discussion and writing practice.

  1. Students label the picture with nouns, verbs, and adjectives. 
  2. They can label the picture individually or with a partner or you can brainstorm together as a class.
  3. Assign students a goal (or you can let them choose) of describe the picture, tell a story about the picture, state an opinion about something in the picture, etc.
  4. Think, pair, share - Students take a few moments to think about what they want to say, then get with a partner to share their thoughts.
  5. Finally, students take time to write a response on the lines provided.
